Welcome to Ameublement G. Boisvert! For you since 1963

Ameublement G. Boisvert is a company established in Sherbrooke for more than 50 years. The founder, Mr. Gilles Boisvert is part of a family of merchants. Mr. Boisvert's mother has always had a fabric business (by the meter) in Shawinnigan, where Mr. Boisvert was born. Three of Mr. Boisvert's brothers also opened a furniture and appliance store. In 1948 in Shawinnigan, in 1955 in La Tuque and in 1959 in Trois-Rivières. In early 1963, Mr. Boisvert and his wife chose the city of Sherbrooke to open their own store.

1972

Ameublement G. Boisvert was born at 303 King West with an area of 2000 square feet including the two rooms where the Boisvert family lived. Even after a few expansions, the company had to move to a larger location. In 1972, the business moved to 231 King West at its current location with an area of 18,000 square feet.

1976

Due to the ever growing success of the company, an expansion of more than 4000 square feet was required in 1976.

1980

Then in 1980, a major expansion of more than 16,000 square feet was completed in order to meet the needs of our customers. Always anxious to offer the best products available on the market, Multi Meubles Gilles Boisvert decided to expand once again.

2003

In 2003, more than 2000 square feet were added to install a specialized mattress store called "SLEEP EXPERIENCE". This gives us a total area, to this day, that exceeds 40,000 square feet.

2008

Always dynamic and wanting to stand out, in September 2008, Brandsource Gilles Boisvert inaugurated a unique section in the region; The La-Z-Boy "COMFORT STUDIO" offers exclusive products to all our customers.

2017

With the same passion as the Boisvert family, Mr. Béchard and Mr. Sévigny acquired the store in June 2017. Both well established in the furniture world, they have forged an alliance that will bring a new era. Proud to pass on his torch, Mr. Boisvert is confident that the values he has upheld over the years will remain well established.

Today, we are very proud to encourage several Quebec and Canadian furniture manufacturers to offer superior quality products.

We can therefore say that the company's success is based on a solid and dynamic team. In addition, Mr. Boisvert's two children, Alain and Joanne, have more than 35 years of experience in the family business, and the team now has more than 25 employees, some of whom have been with the company since its inception in 1963. In 2008, the 3rd generation of the Boisvert family joined the team, so you can be sure that we are here to stay. Our reputation and outstanding service extends over a large territory. From Drummondville to Victoriaville via Granby, Montreal and of course the greater Eastern Townships.
